3. Rules of conduct.
Users are required to utilize the Service in compliance with all applicable laws and high standards of academic integrity. The following conducts are strictly prohibited and constitute grounds for immediate termination of access:
- Automated harvesting, data extraction, scraping, or bulk caching of documents or code via bots, web spiders, or automated scripts.
- Performing denial-of-service (DoS/DDoS) actions, bypassing download limits, or tampering with request headers and authorization signatures.

4. Contributed resources.
By uploading notes, exam papers, or syllabus materials ("User Generated Content"), you grant MAKAUT Study Hub an irrevocable, royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, display, index, translate, and distribute the files to other platform users. You affirm that:
- You own the intellectual property rights to the uploaded notes, or possess legal authorization to share them under a Creative Commons or similar licensing scheme.
- The files do not contain personal private details of other students, marks registers, or private communication records.
- The sharing of these files does not breach your host college's code of student conduct or academic honesty policies.
5. Intellectual property.
All proprietary source code, interface designs, layout structures, visual marks, graphics, database schemes, and styling scripts are the exclusive intellectual property of the MAKAUT Study Hub developers.

Their presence on this site serves purely informational purposes for student course selection, falling under Fair Use guidelines.
6. Billing and payments.
The Service offers both free features and paid premium subscription models. Access to paid packages (such as advanced AI PDF queries or priority document downloads) is subject to the following:
- All subscription rates are clearly displayed prior to checkout. Pricing is transparent with no hidden charges, service setup fees, or artificial scarcity models.
- Payments are processed securely through certified, third-party payment gateways. Storing of raw card parameters or bank credentials does not occur on our local database.
- By purchasing a plan, you authorize the charge and agree to comply with our Subscription Policy.
7. Liability disclaimer.

The notice must specify the exact URL, the copyright holder details, and verification of authorization. Verified files are restricted or deleted within 48 hours of notification.
9. Governing law.
These Terms of Service, and all legal disputes arising out of or in connection with the Service, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the Republic of India, specifically targeting the jurisdiction of the state of West Bengal. Any litigation arising hereunder shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts sitting in Kolkata, West Bengal, India.
