1. Community vision.
MAKAUT Study Hub was established as a collective archive to support B.Tech and engineering students. We believe in collaborative studying and resource-sharing. These Community Guidelines are designed to keep the platform respectful, helpful, and academically honest.
2. Code of conduct.
When interacting on the platform or participating in subject discussion forums, all users are expected to:
- Maintain academic respect. Harassment, abusive language, or discrimination against other students or educators is prohibited.
- Avoid commercial advertising, spamming notes lists with commercial links, or offering paid assignment services.
- Practice honesty and transparency. Do not claim authorship of documents you did not write or compile.
3. Resource contribution.
Uploading materials is a core part of supporting the community. When contributing lecture summaries, handwritten notes, or exam study guides:
- Academic Integrity: Do not upload leaked upcoming exams, private college test sheets, or copyrighted textbooks.
- Quality Check: Ensure PDFs are clear and readable. Scans containing blurry notes, pages upside down, or unrelated personal images will be rejected.
- Labeling: Tag materials with correct subject codes, names, and semesters to help others locate them.
4. Content moderation.
Every contributed file is held in a moderation queue. Moderators evaluate documents for readability, correct tagging, and copyright compliance. We reserve the right to edit metadata, reject submissions, or re-categorize files to keep the index clean.
5. Violation enforcement.
Breaching these guidelines ruins the experience for other students. Violations will lead to:
- First Warning: Removal of offending files and a profile notice.
- Account Suspension: Temporary suspension of upload privileges for repeated poor quality or incorrectly categorized submissions.
- Permanent Ban: Permanent IP and profile bans for uploading malicious files, spamming, or violating copyright policies.
