AI Usage & Limitation Policy

Guidelines, safety, limits, and accuracy warnings for AI-assisted features.

1. Assistant overview.

MAKAUT Study Hub integrates AI-powered study aids to help B.Tech students query syllabus PDFs, summarize complex lecture notes, generate practice question sets, and translate engineering terminology. These tools are designed to serve as interactive study assistants.

2. Veracity and limitations.

Our study assistants utilize large language models (LLMs). While highly advanced, LLMs possess known limitations that users must understand:

  • Potential Inaccuracies: AI outputs can contain incorrect derivations, historical data errors, or fabricated equations (commonly referred to as hallucinations).
  • Context Limitations: The AI works within the text parameters of the uploaded PDF or syllabus page. It may miss context from external textbooks or specific college guidelines.
  • Dynamic Verification: You must verify any AI-generated answers, math derivations, or code segments against standard university textbooks or consult with course instructors before submitting coursework.

3. Fair usage and limits.

To maintain equal resource availability and server performance, we enforce fair usage guidelines on all AI integrations:

  • Query Quotas: Subscription tiers provide specific daily and monthly credits for AI processing. Once credits are exhausted, queries will be restricted until the next billing cycle.
  • No Reselling: You are prohibited from wrapping our AI endpoints to host secondary services or selling AI-generated study booklets commercially.

4. Prohibited AI exploits.

We monitor queries to prevent platform abuse. The following activities are strictly prohibited:

  • Interrogating our models to generate malicious scripts, exploit designs, or bypass site protections.
  • Running automated scripts or terminal applications to spam AI input boxes with queries.
  • Attempting prompt-injection attacks to extract proprietary system prompts, server credentials, or platform API configuration structures.

5. No professional advice.

AI-generated responses on our platform are for informational and private study purposes only. They do not constitute professional advice, legal guidance, career placement promises, or official college instruction. Academic decisions made based on AI suggestions are the sole responsibility of the user.
